This one just came in a week or so ago. The Hot & Dirty BB will be playing the Atwood Music Festival on The Luther Allison stage: Located at the corner of Atwood and Winnebago from Noon-1:30 PM. There’s going to be a lot going on in Madison that weekend and my son will be out there for an event. He said he was going to come out to hear us and it will surprise me if he makes it. I’ll be hanging with Bill Pantle and his crew playing some more jazz music. This will be a cool show on top of the roof at 28 Mile Distilling. They make good drinks and an eastern/New Haven style pizza with a char. IYKYK.

I’ll be hanging with friends for a few tunes on The Dan Peters Band gig at Hey Nonny in Arlington Heights, IL. Dan’s band is a lot of fun, playing really good music with a sense of humor that only Dan and his band can deliver! For more info on Dan, head over to his website.

I’ll be hanging with some old friends and fellow musicians in memory of our friend Michael James MacKrell. This will be a bit of a jam session for me and I’ll sit in for a few songs to have some fun and make some music with some ex colleagues from ABT and ABV plus great local talent from Northern IL and Southern WI.

These are always fun and amusing. Some of these people just get up there and kill a song in a great way. Others are like nails on a chalkboard, but it always fun with this crew. The horns end up doing more singing and percussion playing than horn playing, but that’s what the gig is about. Have fun, make music and give people a great time.

The Hot & Dirty will be playing a ‘celebration of life’ doing some second line music and then turning it into a festive event at Shank Hall in Milwaukee, WI. Feel free to come hang and celebrate!

I’ll be a guest on The Bus Stop Blues show again. This time with Tom ‘Shoes’ Trinka! If you don’t know who he is, you should. He’s a legendary multi-instrumentalist playing Sax, flute, keys and vocals. I get to work with him in multiple music situations both live and in studio recording. Now we share the experience of being on the radio together. There’s a book of the top 50 Saxophone solos in Pop music and he’s one of the players in that book for his work on The Curly Shuffle with Jump In The Saddle Band. Look it up!

This gig got pushed out and went from just the horns to the full band. I’m looking forward to the full band tailgating before the game at American Family Field in MKE, WI.
